Bridges maintainability evaluation peculiarities as part of hydraulic structures

Introduction: the article is dedicated to assessing condition with respect use for traffic methods of bridges as part hydraulic structures (dams, hydroelectric power stations, locks). The main factors affecting structural element’s durability included in composition are dynamic loads (applied repeatedly and repeated) bay due hydrodynamic effect; temporary, moving from passing highway transportation, along top structure (along roadway); harmful chemical impurities contained water through structure. Under influence above-mentioned factors, defects damage occur facilities’ elements. Methods: authors assessed actual state material operating To assess materials during bridge inspection work, following instrumental measurements were performed on as-built elements: leveling sidewalks roadway; strength determination supporting by nondestructive methods; thickness measuring asphalt concrete pavement degree carbonation concrete; identification elements bridge. structure’s was determined testing methods: (1) method elastic rebound; (2) shock pulse monitoring method; (3) an indirect ultrasonic based revealed relationship between separation shear test – rebound. Results: technical safety indicators calculation a element executed. Discussion: examination results studies confirm conclusion about repair measures need high-strength concretes protective coatings polymer composite materials. Final report: emergency scenarios numerical estimate table quantitative qualitative parameters list made, corresponding particular state.
